Bottle and Rye Brixton Interior Design

Bottle & Rye

Chef Robin Gill approached us to help him with his latest opening in Brixton. Robin's vision for Bottle & Rye was to craft a venue that channels the essence of European café culture, fostering a casual and laid-back atmosphere. The goal was to curate a design that seamlessly complemented the diverse and high-quality offerings on the menu.

Opting for a transformative approach, we decided to embrace the raw, unfinished shell of the space, elevating it with a careful selection of premium materials. Our intent was not to overshadow but to enhance the existing environment. In a neighbourhood like Brixton, saturated with rough-and-ready venues, our aim was to distinguish the venue while staying true to the local surroundings.

Our design philosophy honed in on the idea of timelessness, drawing inspiration from the classic charm of a neighbourhood bar and café tucked away in the backstreets of San Sebastian or Paris. Through thoughtful material choices, we sought to transport patrons to a space that transcends trends—a haven where the convergence of design and flavour creates an unforgettable experience.

“Sarah and I loved working with Studio Found on this project. They managed to bring to life our idea of a wine bar inspired by the Parisian cafe culture that we are so fond of. Ed and the team have created a unique space that we hope will be a local favourite in Brixton Market."
